510 Elite Takes Home Marin Showdown Championship

laxpic2 smallMarin, CA - 510 Elite beat the Bay Lax Ballers in a 10-9 nail-biter to win the 2010 Marin Showdown championship held at Redwood High. The championship, hosted by Booth Lacrosse, was the 3rd tournament championship for 510 Lacrosse.

Robby Inch, a Piedmont High All-American, was nearly unstoppable, scoring seven goals in the tournament final on his way to being named the tournament's Most Valuable Player. Attackman Mark Bublitz had a fantastic tournament averaging over three goals a game while Kiernan Mueller and Seamus McInerney added offensive power from the midfield. Doyle Irvin, Cole Dickson and Jeremy White lead the way playing lock down defense to hold top players like St. Ignatius All-American Bobby Grey to three goals in two games. Piedmont High sophomore Henry Anderson was stellar in net all weekend to set the tone in his first U-19 tournament.

510 Lacrosse now looks ahead to Matt Ogelsby's All West Showcase which will be held on Treasure Island. 510 will send three teams to the tournament: 510 Elite, Team 510 and 510 Lax Rats.
